Surface Diamond Core Drills
PMC portable drills are compact for small foot print and low impact and can be dismantled into numerous components for moving into drilling locations of limited access by means of helicopter or manpower. The drills can also be towed by bulldozer or excavator.Our drillers, drill crews and field support personnel realise that core recovery and sample presentation is paramount and apply sound drilling methods, procedures and handling to ensure excellent core recovery.
Several PMC700 drills and 1 x PMC400 drill have been constructed to drill horizontally from 0 degrees to 90 degrees vertical.
Presently PMC have 30 Portable Diamond Core drilling rigs including 3 Underground drilling rigs.
Our portable drills can be dismantled into numerous components, the heaviest component for PMC200, PMC400 and PMC700 is 430Kg, heaviest component in the PMC1200 is 635Kg. Once dismantled the components can be carried by manpower or by helicopter around the drilling area or the complete drill can be towed – hauled by excavator or bulldozer.
Equipment where you need it, when you need it
Each drill is equipped with an extensive range of items such as water supply pumps, mud mixing pumps and tanks, drill rods, all down hole drilling items, poly pipe water line, hand tools, generating set and lighting equipment, portable welder. Rigs also have communication equipment for remote areas and down hole survey cameras and orientation tools if required.
Large operating project sites have an Admin office, fully equipped workshop, storage containers, extensive range of spares, drilling items, drill consumables and drill fluids.
